Homework
You scholar will have a homework folder that will go home with them every day. The homework that your scholar receives each week will vary depending on what standards are being covered in class. Please never let your scholar tell you that they do not have homework or that they were not told what their homework was. In my classroom, your scholar’s homework for the entire week will be wrote on a board in the front of the classroom. Once they switch to Ms. McBride’s classroom, they can find their homework assignments for her located at the front of her classroom. Now that your scholar will be taking three EOGs, they will be taking on the responsibility of more homework in order to adequately prepare.

- Help your child see homework as a valuable and important activity.
- Set up a “homework place” or office for your child.
- Set a “homework time” and try to stick to it.
- Reinforce the student’s personal responsibility.
- Parents should act as consultants only – it is the student’s work!
